2009 Arts Education Summit - Saturday, April 25, 2009
In 2008, over 20 teams comprised of parents, teachers, administrators and elected officials from schools and districts across Colorado, attended a one day Colorado Arts Education Summit, hosted in Denver by the Colorado Council on the Arts and the Denver Office of Cultural Affairs.
The 2008 Arts Education Summit included
- keynote presentations by Lt. Governor Barbara O'Brien, Colorado Department of Education Deputy Commisoner Ken Turner,and Educational Consultant Susan Keene
- workshops by leading arts education specialists
- lunchtime converstations with political and educational leaders
- time to network and plan
- an opportunity to apply for a Colorado Council on the Arts mini grant.
