Kathy Bundock Moore, Professor of Music Theory and Harp, is the author of several books, articles, arrangements and compositions, and performs at dozens of events each year including orchestral concerts, solo recitals, and numerous other engagements. She has three recorded CD’s of the music of Jackson Berkey, keyboardist with Mannheim Steamroller. One is a collaboration with Mr. Berkey for harp and harpsichord. She has also appeared in concert with him around the country. An active member of the American Harp Society, she serves as the music theory editor for the American Harp Journal and as an adjudicator for national harp competitions. Her former harp students teach at various universities around the country, including Colorado State University, Colorado College, and the University of North Texas, and perform in professional symphony orchestras including the Colorado Symphony Orchestra. Her textbook Thumbs Up! Beginning Harp at the College Level is used by dozens of leading universities. Dr. Moore holds a Bachelor of Music and a Master of Music degree in music theory from the Eastman School of Music and a Ph.D. in music theory from Michigan State University.
