Guidelines for Presentations: Classical Period
- Classical opera
- Development of opera from Baroque to Classical
- Opera seria in the Classic era
- Gluck and "Reform" operas
- Opera buffa
- Include discussion of the following works by principal composers in terms of typical structure, style (there will not be time to listen to all of them -- bring scores to look at; maybe play short selections):
