Guidelines for Presentations: Romantic Period

- Discuss the literary and artistic aspects of Romanticism

- The relationship between poetry, melody, and accompaniment
- The song cycle
- The song with orchestral accompaniment
- Include discussion of the following works by principal composers in terms of typical structure, style (there will not be time to listen to all of them -- bring scores to look at; maybe play short selections):
