Private Study
Central to the entire curriculum at UNC is the special relationship developed between you and your teacher during weekly lessons. These sessions serve as the basis for thoughtful evaluation of your present needs and a gradual formation of your future goals. As you study and perform with fine faculty and student musicians in many settings, you will develop mutual respect, understanding and friendships -- the types of bonds that are so rewarding within a community of artists.

UNC Sponsors more than 50 ensembles, a number of which have received national acclaim. Woodwind performing organizations include:

Guest Artists
As an instrumental major at UNC, you will have the opportunity to attend performances, clinics and master classes featuring many outstanding guest artists. You also will have an opportunity to see and hear outstanding artists in other fields.
