James Fittz has performed internationally in recitals, as a concerto soloist and chamber music artist, in festival orchestras, and on public radio and television. An active adjudicator and clinician, he has had numerous articles published in American String Teacher. He also records on the ASC label. His teachers include renowned artists Gordon Epperson and the late Yoshio Sato. A member of UNC's Colorado Arts resident quartet, Dr. Fittz holds Master of Music and Doctor of Musical Arts degrees in cello performance and music literature from the University of Arizona.
