Scott Meredith, is in his fourth year as instructor of trumpet at the University of Northern Colorado where he teaches applied trumpet, orchestral excerpts, trumpet ensemble, weekly trumpet seminar, and brass methods. He has performed nationally with the Owensboro Symphony, Irving Symphony (Texas), Plano Symphony (Texas), Dallas Wind Symphony, Orchestra of New Spain (Dallas) Newcastle Brass Quintet, Baroque Chamber Orchestra of Colorado, and the Boulder Philharmonic.  Scott maintains an active in performance engagements as well as masterclasses and clinics. 

At the end of this year he will complete his Doctorate of Musical Arts in trumpet performance from the University of North Texas where he studied with Keith Johnson, Leonard Candelaria, and John Holt. During the same time, he studied baroque trumpet with John Thiesson, Leonard Candelaria and Keith Johnson.  Scott earned his Masters degree in trumpet performance from the University of North Texas and his Bachelor of Music Performance and Music Education form the University of Northern Colorado where he studied with William Pfund. Scott is also on the faculties of Western State Chamber institute (Gunnison, CO.) and Laramie County Community College (Cheyenne, WY.)

He can be heard on numerous recording with the University of North Texas Wind Symphony under Eugene Corperon as part of the Klavier Wind Project, including the Grammy-nominated recording of Carmina Burana. Currently Scott performs principal trumpet with the Wyoming Symphony, and third/assistant principal trumpet in the Cheyenne Symphony, Fort Collins Symphony and Opera Fort Collins.
