Art and Design student Nick Carlson has won second place in the 2016 SpaceTime Juried International Student Poster Competition, hosted by ACM SIGGRAPH, the leading professional conference for Computer Graphics and Interactive Techniques. Nick created the project (featured in the photo above) in his ART 171: Introduction to Visual Communication Design class at UNC. 

The 2016 ACM SIGGRAPH Conference will be held in Anaheim, CA from July 24-28. Nick will receive a complimentary conference registration as part of his award, and he is planning on attending the conference with several other UNC students. The conference brings together experts in animation, fine arts and design, virtual reality, product development, and more.
