Sanchez is a storyteller who uses her acrylic paintings and films as physical representations of her fictional, written stories. Projected alongside her painted works is a short film following the same fictional narrative of the story titled Presage. In Sanchez’s artwork, colored light is used as a way to create emotional tension and atmosphere, as well as emphasizing specific characters and their activities within each piece. The paintings stand as doorways for the viewer to look through, revealing little by little, the world that Presage explores.
