TUESDAY – FEBRUARY 13TH

You can thank the good work we did today for being the reason you are reading this blog right now. Together, Pam and I worked to get our posts up with the new blog format set in place for the School or Art and Design. After a quick crash course (shout out to Pam, Sara and Bri for showing me the ropes), a quick copy and paste from the updates I had already prepared, and a few drops of some photos in between the text, the blogs went live.

THURSDAY – FEBRUARY 15th

Remember those boxes I mentioned last week? Well, today I got to wrap up sorting through them and I started work deciphering how I could break the items into various series for within the collection. This was a challenge, but a good challenge at that. While I'm used to thinking critically, it was really interesting to be left to think about how each individual item was an extension of Chris's work and life and then how it would make sense to separate them for reference later on. While I definitely made some headway, I have some more deciphering to do, because once again my time was up before I was ready to confidently propose the series I see fit.

However, I will have to put and ear mark in this for a week, as next week I think am going to spend some time with the art and start diving into some writing and researching.

But before then, remember those letters I mentioned last week? Well, check these out!

FRIDAY – FEBRUARY 16TH

Today was the second annual UNC Art History Symposium, so I took the shift today to go and support my peers who were selected as finalists in the event. I was overwhelmed with the just how incredibly brilliant my colleagues, Lindsey and Madeline, were. Both of their presentations were incredibly well researched, prepared, and poised. Honestly, as proud as I think they should be in themselves, I think UNC should be even prouder to have had two brilliant women represent them.
