Jessamyn Miller, teacher at Sky Vista Middle School, was recently named the 2019 Colorado Middle School Theatre Teacher of the Year by the Colorado Thespians.
In this Cherry Creek Schools article, she explains her passion as a teacher:
I always say I’m a lifer. When I was learning how to be a teacher, I never saw myself as a middle school teacher. Honestly, it has turned into such a passion. I think it’s really important to get to kids while they’re young. Middle school is the best place to convince kids that they’re good at a lot of things, to impart their value as a whole human.
