Hello my name is...
Other UNC Arts available to visit during Day of Art!
In Campus Commons:
Tocanda Tierra y Nuestras Raíces (Touching the Earth and Our Roots) curated by UNC student Brenda Vargas.
Features the work of several contemporary LatinX artists including ephemera from moments of resistance, murals, animation, photography, collage, an actual lowrider truck, and much more!
In Mariani Gallery:
Reset, Reflect, Reveal by Jave Yoshimoto
A selection of painted and laser cut works that focus on themes of social and environmental tragedy with bold use of color, line, and composition. The highlight of this show is a 30-foot hand painted scroll depicting the Tsunami in Japan in 2012.
In Oak Room Gallery:
Lunch People by Brent Aldrich and Jon Love
These two artists have a long history of collaboration and wonderfully incorporate humor into their work. Both have practices that bridge a successful negotiation between digital and analog, with a focus on absurdism, pop culture, and play.
In Frasier 05 Lab Theatre (Frasier Hall):
Venus In Fur, by David Ives 7:30 PM. (Adult Themes)
