Music Business and Graphic Design majors, are you ready for real-world experience that expands your knowledge and sets you up for success when you enter the job market? Our PVA Internships process will take you right where you need to be! As you follow the steps below, you will enter a field-based learning experience that aligns with your plan of study.

Preparation

Complete these steps when you are a sophomore or incoming transfer student.

Step 1: Pre-Workshop

Watch the PVA Internship Information video and take the pre-workshop quiz.

Step 2: Career Readiness Workshop

Attend a workshop for your area.

  • Music business students (contact your Internship Coordinator details)
    • Spring 2022: February 28 and April 11 in Frasier 126
  • Graphic design students (embedded into upper-level Graphic Design courses: Typography and higher)

Meet with your Faculty member to make sure you are on track with your search.

STEP 3

Fill out your Internship Experience Application through Handshake. Please note that you cannot complete your internship application until you’ve accepted an internship with an employer, as they will be notified to confirm.

Register for your Internship Credits during registration for the following semester.  

  • Music students: MUS 392
  • Art students: ART 492
  • Theatre Management Internship students: THEA 398/498
