Belle-Pilar Fleming is a printmaker, curator, and textile artist from Southern Ohio. She holds a BA in Psychology from Warren Wilson College and an MFA in Printmaking from Ohio University. She is a former Artist-in-Residence at the Black Church Print Studio in Dublin, Ireland, and the University of North Dakota in Grand Forks. In her artistic works, Fleming focuses on the lived experiences of individuals across a spectrum of identity and place. Utilizing personal narrative, ethnography, archival source materials, and data visualization, she investigates the role of the artists as a community historian and the sociocultural contexts which shape our behavior.
