Admission to the School of Music
The School of Music offers a variety of undergraduate and graduate degrees in instrumental performance, vocal performance, jazz studies, music composition, music education, music history and literature, music theory, and conducting. Admission requires a UNC application, supplementary music materials, for most programs, an audition, and a virtual interview.

Applicants to the UNC School of Music will complete recorded video auditions and virtual interviews on one of the scheduled dates above.

Current UNC Seeking Students
UNC students in their freshman year at UNC, who have not yet applied for or been admitted to the School of Music may complete the Seeking Application and audition in the fall or spring semester. All students who are interested in majoring in music must apply and audition for the School Music. Music minors do not require an audition. Interested in meeting with a music advisor?
